Important Strawberry Quality Update

A special note from our Buyers: strawberriy quality is not great.

Strawberry harvest took a hard hit this Monday and Tuesday due to warm, wet, drizzly weather in the Watsonville/Salinas growing areas. This adverse weather has had significant impacts on the quality of strawberries. Pin rot is the most common issue and is difficult to spot until product is in transit. Furthermore, the July 4th demand will also cause shortages in supply. Blueberry California supplies will finish up this week. Supplies out of Oregon and Washington have been curtailed earlier this week due to rain in growing regions. Quality is still being reported as good with a firm market.
